Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord.
Depression is a disease of the mind and heart. It can be genetic, they say, but depression builds on our own personal need for fairness. And the more an individual feels unjustified, the deeper the depression sinks in.
Fairness is a perception. There has never been fairness. Mankind is only capable of survivalist mentality. Equality in groups is merely a bond based on a common interests and desires. As soon as equity in interests or desires are stripped away, they too turn on one another. Fairness does not exist.
What does exist, is a sense of self. When we feel denied, we get the sense that we are missing out. When we feel deserving, but it is not acknowledged, we get the sense we have been deprived. When we look for justice, but it is not found, we get a sense of vengeance.
Self is not what it seems. The kingdom of Satan is in every heart and mind that has not died of it. As soon as we are of age to acknowledge self, we begin to envy. Envy is the root of our desires and the path of our interests. We act on our own, or we act on behalf of those relationships we covet. And when we are denied, deprived, or not acknowledged, we react in ways to justify ourselves. We then keep it in our hearts and minds, and become depressed from what seems to be a lack of control, or, we act on what is in our hearts and minds, and feel justified by what we consider as control. Either way, we are celebrating the conscience of all sin, the conscience of the murderer, the conscience of lies.
The Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is the eternal conscience of God. For those who believe Jesus is the living mediation, the Kingdom is available to them. They walk with this Truth and are witness to the poverty of spirit which has been described here. In their hearts and minds is this poverty, yet, they continually seek the guidance of the Spirit of Truth to lead them away from the temptation of the Evil one. The Kingdom of Heaven bears fruit through them, that replaces the darkness of the kingdom of Satan with the holy light of Righteousness.
Believers suffer. They suffer because they deny themselves in order to serve this holiness. The desires of their hearts and minds do not recognize the Truth, so they are constantly renewing by faith. And it not doing their own will, they are serving the will of God through this Truth. This service is done in humility, because they know they are worthless without it.
The more they walk with Christ, the more faith they must have, as the conscience of Satan upon them is relentless. Although they are dead to it, they remain tempted. This is the burden which they carry, to serve holiness, instead of what they consider as themselves.
Vengeance is the Lord's.
All those who serve out of faith, will be saved from the judgement that is full. The suffering they exist in, will fade like their bodies. They will know peace, they will know unconditional love.
But those who remain in the poverty of spirit which their self has described in an attempt to survive, they will be judged according to the cost they created. The balance comes due, and they will not know peace until the pay back every penny. And for those who brought them temptation to desire these things, they will be destroyed forever.
Envy, depression, and vengeance are all on the increase in the world around us. Equity is a myth, fairness a cruel false hope. So as believers, we place our hope in the unseen qualities of the Kingdom of God. We set our hearts, minds, and souls on Him, because without His love, we would not know His Son, and therefore would not be able to come to know Him. It is a living hell out there for those who cling to self, yet are led to destruction.
May God have mercy on their souls.
