When we are within the body of Truth we desire to do the will of the Father. But, outside of the body of truth; what we do when we act on our desires, shows what our soul considers important. The flesh responds with emotion and logic, and supplies us reactions that are based on our knowledge of good and evil. The choices we make are not based on the flesh, nor are they based on what is placed in front of us by the world. Our choices are based on the soul's desire.
So, we can consider the Truth to be what offers spiritual understanding. Heavenly wisdom that is perfect. And we can consider that what we seek by this kingdom, is something contrary to what our soul desires. Why? Because what the soul considers firstly, is itself. Only those who are awakened to the Truth, are shown that there is an alternative to their reactions. And that alternative is to set themselves aside, and seek first by the kingdom of God. Acting on what comes through us by the kingdom, honors the Father by His Truth.
The truth is not always with us. There are moments in everyone's existence where they have acted for their own sake, and created cost. It is part of being human, that creates these choices that we make in the darkness of our reactions. It is that cost which souls are bound in hell for. The blood of the Lamb of God claimed the keys to heaven and hell. Judgement of those souls was then mediated; not only based on the knowledge of good and evil that those who walked a righteous path had, but also those who showed that they believe that the Authority of God could act through them when they set themselves aside for the sake of others.
Time and forgetfulness coincide. Our existence is meaningless to God. God does not need us. But what is important, is to recognize we need God. And specifically, we need to acknowledge His Authority in order to serve Him. That authority is not always with us, because we need to show that we can desire holiness that serves others, instead of desire wickedness that serves ourselves.

Matthew 7:21-23
21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.22
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
23
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

When I reflect on the actions of myself in the darkness of my reactions to what was placed in front of me by the world, I am thankful for the grace upon me. I am still filled with wickedness, and even though I have grown closer to the Father through His Truth, I am still greatly imperfect. It is humbling. And it keeps me sincere when I know the only goodness that comes from my acts is His alone by His Spirit of Truth doing His will through me. I love God, by showing I rely on Him and His Authority and His Spirit. By these; I treat others as I would have myself be treated. Not with emotional responses, or logical intercession, but with holiness that is greater than myself.
To desire to do the Father's will, should be our goal. To have heaven recognize; that we can seek the kingdom and the desire to supply unseen holiness in the physical. This is like setting seed in good soil. The desire to grow met with the proper foundation. The power of God through His Authority. Bearing fruit that is good while honoring the tree that supplies it, and the ground that it roots in, and the waters that do not go dry.
Desire is not of the flesh, it is of the soul. So the lesson of the flesh is to deny what the soul desires from it, and instead desire to serve with what the soul can supply through it. And in this service of one another, we show the Father as what is righteous in His Power and His Authority. And that my family is how to love the God of the living.
