What is Love?
Love is when we have God work through us.
God loves us, and we know this because He gave us wonderful gifts. He did not give himself gifts, He shared what He had. That is love, sharing God with one another.
When you have something special, you want to keep it for yourself. That is not love. Love is when you have something special, and you want others to share it with you.
Adults show love when they share what they have with children or each other. Adults also love when they do things for others, that they don't have to do. Like being helpful, or being kind. Love is the best way to live. Because it shows that God works through us.
Some people say, "I love the sunshine". Some people say, "I love the rain". But this is not love. Love is shared. Rain and Sunshine are a part of Creation, which God made in Love for us. So people should say, "I am thankful to God for sunshine". Or people should say, "I am thankful to God for rain". We should be thankful for what we receive, but it is how we give that is loving.
Is it loving to share your anger? No.
So when you are angry, how do you love? You have to set aside your anger, so that love can come through you. This is important. We have to choose to be loving, it is the only way.
So when you have something special that someone else does not have, what should you do? You should share.
When someone else has something that you do not have, what should you do? You should be thankful to God that He took care of them.
God looks for himself in us. And if we are loving, He knows. That is why we are here, to share God with each other.
To be loving.
