Faithful Servant
Luke 17:7-10
7
“Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?
8
Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink’?
9
Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?
10
So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’ ”

This is one of my favorite passages, because it speaks of the depth we are to take our faith. We are not in any way perfect, but what can come through us, if we allow the truth to do the Father's will; is. Our acts can serve well the will of God, when we have put ourselves aside. So what servant then can have expectations, when what is done through them is not of them?
Our service honors the one who leads us to still waters. And he himself serves the will of the one whom sent him. Until we hear trumpets, we continue to be diligent, that is; we continue to serve in a selfless and loving way.
So what do we say? That loving the enemy and loving one another; shows our master that we can work without expectations, as we have faith in our true value to him. Remember: he has been promised us by the Father. We are his spiritual family.
We should place no expectations on one another, and have no expectations of recognition or reward for our acts that are indeed attaches to our faith that the truth is within us, and, we are the body of that truth.
Be blessed.
