When faith surpasses knowledge

Psalm 82

A psalm of Asaph.

1
"God presides in the great assembly;
he renders judgment among the “gods”:

“How long will you defend the unjust
and show partiality to the wicked?

3
Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

4
Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

5
"The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing.

They walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken."

6
"I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’

7
But you will die like mere mortals;
you will fall like every other ruler.”

8
"Rise up, O God, judge the earth,
for all the nations are your inheritance"

---

Does the Father defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked?

Enoch points out the eternal angels that corrupted the earth were returned to heaven because they were from there, and their half human / half angelic children could not enter heavenly realms because they were not eternal, not could they just die because they were not mortal. So they lay bound and buried until the day of rekoning, and their makers remain condemned in heavenly places, also awaiting their imminent judgement.

What is not pointed out is timing is the Father's. Even His Holy One does not know. So we must remain steady, and abide. Which is something I personally struggle with. I want to go home.

The children of Sodom and Gamorah have flourished in our generation. They all are of a vine apart from the Father. They are the wicked and they bring judgement upon themselves and those they mislead. They are enabled by these fallen angels, these 'lesser gods'. These creatures are strong, and empowered, they thrive in the flesh and in the world, as they are not of the Spirit.

The Father is just. This means where there is mercy it is founded, and where there is condemnation it is founded. Having said that, this psalm demands of the Father; 'how long'. Well, the answer is however long it takes for judgement ti be founded; complete.

We know the Father hears the cries of the weak and the needy, the widow and the orphan. We know that these silent whispers of the heart are like bellowing wails in heaven. The Father may not defend them in this existence, nor rescue them in this time; but His mercy will defend them in eternal ways and his mercy will serve justice in eternal ways that show them favor. The Father is just.

I can say that the wickedness in heavenly places do rock the foundation of the earth. But that is more poetic than the reality we share. The foundations of the physical separate two distinct formations of the unseen. Genesis calls them the waters, which is a metaphor for 'derived from'. The two waters are as much a part of creation as the physical which is metaphorically called 'land'. The heavens are separated by the earth. The earth being like a great divide that none from either side can cross except the one whom they came into existence through; the now living, Word of God.

*The children of the Most High who lead the flesh to do their will, are like children, who act out of requirement, not knowing the truth, lacking completely in understanding. They founded instinct, they developed ego, they perpetuated fear and desires. This existence is the culmination of the knowledge of good and evil that polarizes itself, like a reflection of the truth that is solely based on disobedience. As faith is the foundation of obedience, and they denied the Father, and so the emmanate that rebellion.*

We know that the heavens and the earth are going to be destroyed, and a new and singular heaven and the new earth will replace them. There will be no memory of this, and the wickedness of the fallen angels, their children, and those they mislead, will all be consumed and forever dead. This is considered the second death. And the inheritance promised to the Word will remain with him in the paradise that his authority will reign over forever and ever.

The Father is just.
