Galatians 2:21
21
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Galatians 3:3
3
Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?
----
Again, Paul is speaking to Jews who have found renewal by the Spirit, having put aside the Law as fulfilled in Christ Jesus. You see, the Law of sin was given to provide guidance away from the flesh. So that the kingdom of heaven (the perfect conscience), could be acted upon. But what happened was, the leadership focussed on gaining perfect knowledge of good and evil, lineage of the flesh, and influence of the temple, instead of honoring that righteousness as holiness which could glorify the Father.
The testimonies of Paul were clarifications to Judeo-Christians, that the Spirit of God acts through us, and that glory for that gift is shown in true service through faithful acts. Belief that Christ Jesus died for our sins so that the Law of sin was no longer the mediation, as the flesh of a Christian is dead to the worldliness that the Law was based upon.
This battle continues today. No religion qualifies themselves as dead to the flesh to be alive in the body of the Father's truth. Only few individuals actually deny themselves to have holiness act through them, thereby qualifying those act of faith as showing God is working through them. Self development is not Christian. We are only bound by this flesh, and we are constantly having to seek self control to not empower our human reactions to what is placed in front of us.
Sin is not what people define it as. Sin includes anything we do that is not done in faith. So as we gain from the flesh whether in worldly ways or by meams of claiming holiness as from our self righteousness knowledge; we deny the Christ we live in and we deny the glory the Father deserves for having His Spirit work through us by the kingdom we have been provided. Sin, is a term for what claim is against our soul. Acts of faith are when the truth acts through us while we deny ourselves the reactions our flesh has to what is placed in front of us. Sin leads us to death, death claims the souls that do not recognize the Truth, which is life.
Christ died to defeat death, so that we could serve the will of God through faithful acts. Otherwise, none would know life eternal. None did until him. The grace that was afforded by his blood is our only means to salvation of our soul. And that salvation is shown by serving the Father by believing His Truth can work through us to honor him. Death is not the sleep we fall into, death is the destruction of a soul that denies the truth because it only knew to react to what was put in front of it through the flesh it was bound in.
We all sin. That should bring a sincerity to you. We are only shown what we can handle. We grow closer to the Father through His Truth. But this existence is temporary. All we can do is humble down, and put ourselves aside in those moments when we can serve to bring the fruits of the Holy Spirit to bear. It is best to think of moments where their is an opportunity to be patient or kind or loving etc. as a gift. Because it is the acts of the holiness we provide through us, by the Truth, that will stand out in defense of our souls.
The Father recognizes what comes from His Truth. The Holy Spirit is witness to us either claiming righteousness or glorifying the Father. And Jesus Christ is the Authority that will decide what souls are written in the book of life or are destroyed.
Seek first by the kingdom. Recognize the holiness coming through you is an act of God, not you. And thank the Father for His Son, and the opportunity to bring light while walking a path of trespass.
Stray from abandon. You will be tempted. You likely will stumble. You will get frustraited. You will feel alone. But do not abandon hope. Return to your suffering, return to that daily bread. Suffer as Christ suffered. Persevere. Dont let flesh guilt keep you from putting yourself aside.
