Sanctified Acts

The following was not written to honor you, it was written to honor the Father by glorifying the Son.

Sanctification, of what we consider sin, is a complicated understanding that is worthy of your time.

I say complicated, because religions have a tendency to sanctify what supports the collective will of the time, and the situational circumstance, instead of the Father's will and His Authority laid out through Christ.

The summary of this is that the guidance we seek from the Holy Spirit by our clear conscience in faith, is how we are to proceed in every situation where fear or doubt or any weakness is cornering us into making a choice.

But lets take a step back and consider what sanctification, and the idea of sanctified acts means.

To Sanctify is defined as to make holy; set apart as sacred; consecrate. There is no such thing as a sanctified sin, because nothing holy is sinful.

An act, such as jealousy, is a sin of the flesh, but sanctified jealousy is passionate zeal. Jesus turned over tables of money changers and merchants that had set up shop in the temple grounds. He did so because of his passionate zeal, jealousy that he harbored because of his love for the Father. This was not a sin, but instead sanctified jealousy. The religious ways of the temple were serving the will of the leadership, and included profit margins and exclusion of those who could not afford the merchandise. This provided envy and covet among the temple believers, human sinful jealousy. When Jesus did these things, it is important to remember that the old covenant was still in effect.

To take this example further, the Lord commanded that no one should approach him empty handed. This was not commanded to exclude people, no, this was a hope that those who had much would give freely to those who were in need. Covetous would be proven abandoned if giving was done freely. Instead, those who had much capitalized on their possessions and sold them at cost to fellow believers(doves etc.), thereby honoring themselves, in the very house meant to honor their God.

We also see in the Old Testament that the Lord sent out the Isrealites to take lands and destroy cultures that were in the promised land. This included violence and murder and plundering. From the time of Abram forward, this activity was the Lord's will, and considered therefore as sanctified. But as of the time of the death of Jesus, this no longer was what was commanded or prophesied through the Jewish Temples, and it was only through Peter and the other disciples who were directed to observe and guide Jews into the transition between covenants.

The time of sanctified acts of the Lord's Old Covenant ended during the time of Peter. The message of salvation was with them. They were told time was short and they would be scattered among the Gentiles. They were told the faith gospel, and the good news about the Kingdom of God. They were also told that faith would separate them from the control of Satan who ruled over their synagogues. Miracles because of the Holy Spirit annointing these disciples received served to aid in the transition for Jews. So the acts of sanctified behaviors was fulfilled by placing faith in the new covenant through their Christ: Love the Father, love one another. This explains why in the book of Acts Peter still honored the Sabbath and still practiced water baptism. This time of transition did however have an end.

Matthew 27:50-52
50
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
51
At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split
52
and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.

The ministry reached its completion, the new covenant was now set, and the Jewish temple was now Christ Jesus' broken and dead body, one which he would then raise up into an imperishable state in three days. Since then, to this very day, sanctified acts are solely acts based on Love of the Father, and love for one another. At that point, the body of Christ was now being filled with believers, Jews and Gentiles, rich and poor.

But, what happened was a house made for the transition from Old Covenant Jews to New Covenant Messianic Jews became a house of Gentiles that blended the covenants. This was not in service to God's will but to extend man's authority- claiming it was in Jesus name. If it was in Christ's name, the acts would have been considered sanctified. But it was not in Christ's name, as the actions taken did not obey the two commandments set forth by his new covenant.

They murdered and destroyed for gain and empowerment, not acting on faith and selfless love. Because of this, priests of error, ceremonies, idol worship, and prayers to the dead have all served to put the flesh between a believer and the Spirit of Truth. Cultures were decimated, religious moralities became social authorities that to this day, label sin and judge those who then look at God as bias and cruel.

How many lives have witnessed violence for the sake of this religion? How many souls have been separated from the Truth by religions who place themselves between believers and the gospel of faith. How obvious are the actions of religions that claim sanctification of their own will, and claim it by the Authority of Christ. When so-called love becomes a weapon of control and dominion, we know sanctity has been falsely claimed.

Matthew 22:37-40
37
Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38
This is the first and greatest commandment.
39
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
-
I now side track to expose another error in belief today. When you see or hear leaders describe the prophecy from the Torah(OT), and claim these holy scriptures as yet to be fulfilled, you can be confident that they are doing so of their own knowledge and by their own will. Jesus hung on the cross, and solidified a new covenant between mankind and the Father.

The only prophesy now comes by the gift of Prophetic word through the Holy Spirit. And prophetic word only serves to honor the holiness of the Father, if it is otherwise, it is unholy divination. So any form of prophecy that speaks of self interests, worldly developments, or spiritual empowerment, they are all unholy.

1 John 5:14
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
-
According to His will- as part of the body of Christ, we do the Father's will through following the commandments Jesus set forth: Love the Father, love others. This is what is then holy; sanctified.

The sanctity of the Holy Spirit is constant, and is the only door to glorify the Father through the Authority if His Son. Prophetic word should be verified by two or more, and that verification comes through prayer and discernment. If it serves the commandments of Christ, it will increase love, faith, or hope in those who are witness to it.

Through the new covenant in Christ Jesus, we have the two charges: Love the Father, love one another. This was said to the Jewish leaders of the time, and was meant for Jews first, and then the rest of the world. But the Jewish leaders denied it, and even to this day, houses and leaders of ministries in the name of Christ deny it.

John 6:28,29
28
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
-
To close this understanding, sanctified acts are those founded in Love. Love of the Father or love for one another. Everything comes through the new covenant the Father made with those who believe in His Son. It is an individual covenant, not made through a temple, or church, or land mass. It is a personal bond, and fully based on faith in the Son of God.

So how do we know what is the will of God and what is our own desire? Guidance through the Holy Spirit, denial of self, and keeping ourselves in holiness by seeking to approach all things in a way that honors that belief. The body of Christ is the raised temple, the eternal house. In this house forgiveness and selflessness are the fundamentals of love and the fruits of the kingdom. Love, faith, and hope are what defines sanctity for believers.

-
Sanctification of acts in Christ Jesus is Holy Spirit led. The Christ Jesus is the Son of God.
