About weakness Part 2: Renewing of your mind

Being able to see our weakness as the remanence of what grace rescued us from.

---

2 Corinthians 12:10
10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

---

Romans 12:2
2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

---

Ephesians 4:22-24
22
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
23
to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
24
and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Many of us remain in the comfort of salvation, and do not change the way we think. There is a transition to be made, it is done with sincerity, and is the only path to complete joy in sufferance. Those who are still of themselves and the world, cannot relate to what an awakened mind sees and hears. Because of the effects of grace, a person who carries the truth forward within themselves slowly masters that state of awareness. It is then in that state, that holiness in the form of spiritual fruit, serves through us.

Although we are tempted to act on our desires, or are tempted to conform to what the world demands from us; it is in that weakness that the power of perfect truth can act. Lobe describes how we serve others who still remain unaware of themselves, is the same love that Christ Jesus had for us when he did the Father's will.

So how are our minds renewed? By denying ourselves, and no longer act as the world sees us. This is the effect of grace. And we know that the children of the world, and the powers and principalities of wickedness in heavenly places; reject us because of it. But our minds are renewed by mastering our understanding of this sufferance. Instead of being victimized by it, we celebrate in recognition. So that when we are denying ourselves to do the Father's will; the truth of holiness shows that righteousness is of the Father alone. And for that love to take root, honors the truth that is the only path to it.
Yes, we are imperfect. Yes, when persecuted we are still tempted to react. Yes, weaknesses are real and we all have them. But what we now see in our weakness, used to be how wickedness led us in the darkness. What we now see in weakness, is still in control of others. It is by this grace that we can see the sin we are in. And it is this power of truth, that allows us to love where before we would only react to what was in front of us. This is a war. Simply put, the enemy is defeated, but we are all tasked with overcoming wickedness.

---

1 Corinthians 6:2,3
2 Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?
3
Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life

---

Righteouness is of the Father alone. God is Love, and His will is done only through His Truth. The power of the truth is made perfect in weakness. And it is only by mastering our understanding of weakness that we can begin to overcome the wickedness that we came from.

If you cannot overcome your own illness, how can you hope to heal others?
