The Progression of False Teachings

1 Thessalonians
5:15
15
Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

1 Thessalonians 4:4
4
Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.

I am not fond of these letters to Thessalonia. They to me; are not in line with Paul's teachings, and seem to be instead, a combination of teachings, more than spirit led truth. Having said that now, there are points worthy of discussion. Paul was creating a religion. This too I struggle to believe was imparted by the Lord. I do not believe that the gospel of the kingdom had anything to do with organized religion.

Personal relationships through His truth, are the inspired walks of those who carry the truth in them. The only church the Father recognizes is one that caters to orphans and widows, those in need whom can not care for themselves. But in no way does that constitute the need for a physical house of worship.

Our God is the God of the Living, His Love is the Rock that His Truth is founded upon. So why does it seem that Paul wanted to form a religion? I believe that those who believed in the faith ministry gathered together to mimic the custom of religion. And this is why these early churches were plagued with falsehoods in prophesy and teachings, misinterpretations of holy texts, and therefore divisions in dogmas.

What was missed was that the yoke of truth is an easy yoke. What was missed is that the Holy Spirit bears perfection through the imperfect. And that the trials are personal, and specific to the holy acts that come through each individuals. The world wanted a religion it could relate to, but God wanted us to build personal relationships with Him directly through His Truth.

Peter did the same of course. By the time you reach chapter 5 of Acts, Peter is the head of a new religion that is in direct competition with the Temple of Judaism. Peter has by this point left behind forgiveness and is no longer open to the Holy Spirit. What powers come through him, kill or heal for show of power. The time of the great commission was over, yet his was a house of fear and power. The ministry of grace became a falacy of consequence and penance, placing again a man between the believer and God. A lie in place of the Truth.

So we are NOT to pay back to wrong with a wrong. This is the fundemental of forgiveness. Yes, we take the cost upon ourselves, amd we do this out of love for the Father, as well as because we have faith it is what is His will. We do these things and others are witness to them. So we know that the true church of Christ is the body of believers. And only through him can we come to the Father. The truth is eternal, full, and complete im every moment we walk into. This is the fundemental of faith, and this is how the true church remains in the Father's will.

So what are these other churches of God?  Ones that take the Holy Scriptures and use them to support the ministry of Jesus the Son of God. But this too is almost unheard of. Most create a combination of contradictions, placing old wine in new wineskins, or worse, placing new wine in old wineskins.

Whatever the church of Peter and the churches of Paul were in the first century, neither of them supportes personal relationships with the Father. Neither openly recognized the unseen qualities of the kingdom and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Neither openly recognized that leadership doesn't exist in the truth. The draw to develop comparible religions failed the ministry of faith for all believers then and now.

Twenty centuries later we have seen first hand that the morality of manmade religions is just simply a judhement call of the self righteous. War have been waged, lives lost, cultures destroyed, and corruption has altered the very ministries, making them barely recognizable. The only path is narrow, that being; Spirit led discernment. Faith is the only path where sin is not.

So do we drop religion to cater to the truth? Love covers a multitude of sins.

---

1 Peter 4:8
8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

---

So continue to do what you are doing, but focus on allowing personal development with the Holy Spirit fruits working through you. For faith without deeds is dead, reformed Jew and Gentile alike.
