Fear, Faith, and Each Other

---

Sirach 4:5,6
5
From one who begs do not turn away an eye, and do not give him an occasion to curse you.
6
For if one curses you in the bitterness of his soul the one who created him, will hear his petition.

---

Our Christ confirms this. We serve others, with the fear of God in mind. Fear, because our choices and sincerity speak of our faith and obedience. If you deny your fellow man, who is equal in the eyes of God, what can save you? If you show mercy, only so that others see you as merciful, what you have done is shown you must benefit from what the kingdom supplies. And that is the only reward you will see from it. We fear God, because he knows our hearts. That fear keeps us humble in the face of the greatness that is God.

---

Luke 6:30
30
Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.

---

There is nothing of the world that should stand between you and your love of God. This is of course, a very hard lesson for this generation. We simply value worldliness and what comforts we have to gain from it. But this was prophesied, sin would increase in the world. So we have to be able to rely on faith, and fear the outcome of rejecting others for our own desires. Everytime you pass by someone who is poor of worldly things, while you have comfort, this is truly seen by all of heaven. And to suggest you have the truth in you, while you deny the treatment of others as you would have yourself be treated, brings shame to the Christ who died to save you from yourself.

---

Matthew 25:35
35
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

---

What is it to give, or shelter another. It is having a love that is greater than yourself, axt through you. It is wisdom to fear God, and humble yourself to His will. To be loving, supply hope, and act on faith. These are still gifts for us. As they count against our sins. A fool judges others who have less, a fool turns away those out of fear they will rob him, or kill him. What a blessing to fall doing the Lord's good works. To turn the other cheek, to feed your enemy.

In this generation, our systems separate us. They divide by wealth, and education, and social discrimination. They consider equality to be in liberties and freedoms they describe. But all the while, greed is awarded, judgement is considered mercy, and justice is a bias that suits only this wickes form they consider as 'the greater good'.

---

Isaiah 5:20
20
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

---

Fear God. Be humble. The nations and kingdoms of mankind will twist the truth, and avoid it to their own worldly gain. There is no Christian who kills to defend himself or his loved ones. There is no Christian who demands from their government justice, or sues another in defence of his demands. There is no Christian that fears another man or nation, or religion. There is only those who have the truth in them, and those who deny it.

---

Matthew 10:28
28
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

---

There is grace for us. And that grace allows us to see our error, error that is seen by our conscience. Those who deny the truth or do not know the truth, do not have this grace, or cannot keep it. As Christians, as individuals, we seek first by this kingdom, and we are shown that righteousness is of God alone. So humbly, we put ourselves aside, at cost of our desires, at cost of our instinct, a cost of our prides and vanities. We do this because we fear God, and that fear is itself an act of faith.

Blessings upon those who carry this forward.

Amen.
