You must learn how to pray

'You must learn how to pray."

God is of many mysteries. Not even Jesus knows the Father's will. Jesus, even while on the cross, served by faith. How can we do any less?

---

The prayers of Jesus

"You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to children."

“Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I know that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

"Father! Glorify your name!"

My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”

“My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

“My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

"Father forgive them; for they know not what they do"

"My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

"Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit."

Father

All prayer goes to the Father. Jesus prayed to the Father, so we pray to the Father. Jesus is the Truth. And the Spirit of Truth recognizes those who carry the Truth in them. It is that Truth that calls out 'Father'.

Hope, Faith, and Love

---

1 Corinthians 13:13
13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

---

Of faith it serves the Fathers will.
In hope it glorifies the Father.
For love of the Father, and love of one another.

We must remain faithful. This is the only way for us to be obedient to the Father's will. When we pray for others, or for guidance, or in thanks, our faith in seeking out the Father is a service to His will. Faithfulness in prayer is a confidence in the unseen qualities of God. A prayer made in faith, is a service of the will of God.

It is good to pray for others out of hope. But this is a choice, that should hold no expectations. Expecting results from a prayer is trying to have our own desires met. Yes. All things are possible. But there is a difference between hope, and expectations. If we have expectations our hope is met, this is selfishness, not service. We hope that what we pray for glorifies the Father.

We can pray as an act of love. But, does the prayer serve His will? He does not act on our desires. Yes, it is a choice to pray, and it is the good choice. The Father knows our hearts and thoughts. And if for the sake of love, we in desperation; pray for anything, it is good. But if we are praying for what we desire, this is not the will of God. But, if what we desire is to bring glory to God, this is loving service. Our prayers of love, are based on love for the Father, and love for one another.

Constant prayer

---

Ephesians 6:18
18
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

---

It is good to pray constantly. If we do not pray, what are we doing? We are relying on our reaction to what is in front of us. And our reactions are always based on our knowledge of good and evil, and that knowledge is incomplete.

When we pray constantly, our relationship with the Father is increasing. For those who maintain the Truth in them, prayer is a constant reminder of our love of the Father for the atoning blood of His Son. (Without it, we would not have the Christ to petition the Father on our behalf). To pray constantly to gain what we desire, is an empty prayer. To pray constantly; seeking to know the Father, is selfless, and the one way we can learn the Father is righteous alone.

---

Philippians 4:6
6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God

---

God is righteous alone

Jesus prayed. Can we do no less?

Jesus often went into the hills to pray alone. Jesus prayed as a humble servant. Try not to forget the Father knows our thoughts. We pray and petition the Father to show we put Him first. It will always be the will of God that is done. So why pray? As an act of service, and a humbleness in fear of God.

Jesus said some prayers openly. These prayers were to glorify the Father, but to also increase faith in others. So yes, if you wish to pray openly for others, it should glorify the Father, and serve Him by creating understanding to those who witness it. Prayer should never be a tool of intimidation, or consequences. If you pray openly, it should act as an inspiration.

In Thanksgiving

---

John 6:11
11
Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.

---

Giving thanks is a celebration of service. Serving in ways that glorify the Father as what is righteous alone. We get in the habit of giving thanks for worldly things; jobs, comforts, relationships.. But in these worldly things, what glorifies the Father? The disciples, and Jesus himself gave up everything to serve the Father's will. This is because, our worldly position serves only us. So we must rethink what we are giving thanks for. Does our prayer of thanksgiving celebrate us, or Him?

Summary

We pray to the Father. We pray of faith, in hope, and for love. We pray in the mind, or alone to serve His will. We pray constantly. Our prayers of thanksgiving celebrate the opportunity we have to serve.

The words said upon me were: " You must learn how to pray." We learn through instruction, and we learn through practice. This instruction is reliable, as it came through me by the Holy Spirit. Now, it is up to you and I to practice proper ways to pray.

The good prayer

Jesus told his disciples how they should pray. This was before he ascended. The disciples also maintained service without worldliness. We however, are under grace, and are surrounded by worldliness. None here are without sin. Not one. So we pray this prayer as individuals that remain fearful of God.
---

Our Father in heaven,

You name is above all. Your holy conscience is upon the living. Let Your Holy Spirit place upon me from it, what serves your will alone, as it is done in heaven.

Give me today, a way to do your will, in the sufferance I carry forward, by the grace I am under.

Forgive me my trespass, as I also have forgiven those who have trespassed against me.

And leave me not to temptation, deliver me from the evil one. Let my one desire be to serve you fully.

For the Kingdom is your Father. It's power and the glory forever and ever Yours,

Amen

---

Pray to have the Spirit of Truth reveal to you what has been shared here. I am imperfect, but what is perfect, can give you perfect understanding.

All glory to the Father.
