As believers, as people who carry the Truth forward, it is important to understand the double edged sword. If we receive a word from the Holy Spirit, it is meant to be shared with those the Lord has placed in front of us.
---
Hebrews 4:12
12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
---
If we chose, for any reason, to not share the word with them, the consequences they come into become blood on our hands. If we do share the word with them, at any cost, the consequences they come into will not be held against us.
---
Ezekiel 3:17-19
17
"'Son of man, I have appointed thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; and when thou shalt hear a word at My mouth, thou shalt give them warning from Me."
18
When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for b their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
19
But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.
---
Two men stand before me. One whose heart repents, and one whose heart is hardened. Both hear what I am saying in service of the Lord on their behalf. One is going to listen, hoping to reconcile themselves to the Father. The other is going to react how he will react, this he does in defense of himself.
Both men are already standing in judgement. Both men are in the presence of the Lord who is unseen. Both men will bear fruit from their hearts.
---
John 5:25
25
Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
---
If what we share saves a sinner or a righteous person from sin, our faith will be rewarded in heaven. We bring forward life. What we say on behalf of the bread of life in us, gives life. Not in worldly terms, but in eternal condition. If they take what is given and are reborn from the death of their ways, heaven celebrates. If they do not accept that which can bring life, they remain dead in their sin.
In Ezekiel's time, this Holy Authority was placed on individuals called Prophets. The Lord placed within them His Spirit amd Authority to speak on His behalf. In our time, we who deny ourselves, have the Holy Spirit residing in us, by the Holy Authority. We are not Prophets, we are messengers, vessels filled with Holiness that comes through us in our humility.

Luke 12:8-10
8
“I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God.
9
But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God.
10
And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
11
“When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12
for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
---
As believers, we are not judges. If we are serving the Lord, what comes through us by the Holy Spirit serves the Father's will. It may come in the form of our acts, it may come in the form of prophetic word. But how others react to it, brings upon them judgement. If we choose to not share what has been placed upon us to share, we place ourselves in a dangerous position.
---
Matthew 25:29,30
29
For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
30
And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
---
Being a believer is acting as one. We act under the authority of God. If we are responsible with the authority that comes through us, more authority is given. If we are irresponsible with that authority, if we choose to not share it, what we have is taken away, and we ourselves will be judged, and the consequences will fall on us.
Walking in faith places you in sufferance for carrying a truth that is not recognized by the world. That suffering was carried by Jesus, and he died because he chose to fulfill all righteousness by serving the will of God into physical death. We are tasked with the same.
Be fearless of those who can cause physical death, fear the one who can destroy both the flesh and the soul. The double edged sword of Truth reveals what is hidden in a person's heart, and that includes the wielder of the sword.
