Do we sleep? Do we enter Heaven? What happens when we die? The understanding is in need of correction. The following explains what understanding has been set upon me in service of the Lord Jesus our Savior and King.
Matthew 20:14-16
14
Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you.
15
Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’
16
“So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
---
The resurrection of Christ Jesus brought about a change. Before him, none overcame death. Death is a spiritual bondage more than a physical end. The body exists because of the spiritual life it formed on. When life is given over to death, the body can not exist any longer in this way. Jesus has the keys(the authority of life and now, the authority over the bondage of death).
"So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
The parable of the workers is in regards to to faithful entering the Kingdom of Heaven. The same reward for service to the Father's will is given to all, that reward is a place in the Kingdom for the faithful.
---
Luke 23:43
43
Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."
---
When we put ourselves aside, what takes its place is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. Jesus is the Truth. Jesus is the Life. This life is eternal that we carry in faith, cannot be bound in the spiritual bondage of death as it has overcome it. So yes, when we mortally die as a part of the body of Truth, we enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Paradise is a partition of Heaven.
---
Matthew 27:53-55
51
At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split
52
and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
53
53
They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
---
Those who died since Christ's victory, were the first to enter into paradise as a part of the body of Truth. This includes us. Those who went into the spiritual bondage of death before Christ's victory were bound by the Law, because the gospel of the Authority of Christ Jesus was not yet manifest.
---
Jeremiah 1:5
5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
---
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and other elect that were considered 'of faith' during the times before Christ Jesus had Victory, were all claimed from the bondage of death. This, because they were set apart by the Lord. And their obedience to the path of righteousness set out by the Law, was witnessed by many and gave them hope, led them into faith, or at least obedience to the Law.
Jesus claimed from the bondage of death those of whom carried Life within them. So yes, some of the dead have risen from the time of the old covenant.
---
Matthew 22:31,32
31
But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you,
32
‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
---
From what Jesus said, we know that these souls were not under the bondage of death, but were set in Paradise. What must then be explained here is that although they are in Paradise, none, none made it into the presence of the Father except the One in which he sent, who has since returned to His presence. There are absolutely partitions, levels of heaven.
---
The day of Judgement, ( the last day), will raise all who died, and what was not known to them will be made clear. ( Nothing will remain hidden). These souls sleep until then. They are not tortured or justified, they are in the bondage of death until they are raised up on the last day. As those who followed the path of righteousness were the first, they will enter Paradise last. But yes, those of the righteous path who claim Christ Jesus is the Son of God, will get their reward in heaven, the same as us.
---
John 6:44,45
44
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.
45
It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me."
---
What about sinners? The lawless? Those who fell out of faith? The best answer is judgement is for all who were righteous and wicked. Judgement is not just condemnation, there is mercy unabound in our Lord God. Each soul will make an account of their acts. Some will be saved, some will not.
There are other mysteries surrounding resurrections of the dead. I have not received understanding upon me of these things. This letter is meant to clarify what happens when we die.
So celebrate? Consider everyday as a sufferance that leads to Victory with Christ Jesus. Seek out ways to serve God in loving ways and treat others how you would have yourself be treated. Remain faithful. Pray constantly. Reconcile yourself to the Father by embodying His Truth in your faith. Celebrate grace as an opportunity to earn your salvation while you are here. Until then remain humble and serve knowing you must deny yourself to carry the Spirit of Life forward.
-
Yes, celebrate those who had faith in Christ and have returned to the Love that created them. They are indeed in Paradise.
