Matthew 7:5
5
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
---
A proud man, sees the pride of another. A covetous man sees the covetous in another. A lustful man sees the lustfulness of another. In every case, we are rightly judged by what we judge others as. Whether we say something or not.
---
Matthew 7:1,2
1
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
---
This calls for wisdom. If you carry a covetous, or a pride, or a lustfulness in your heart, God places in front of you others who also is bound by such. Or God places you in a circumstance where you are given a choice to deny those desires to show you are sincere in your fear of God. Both circumstances provide an opportunity for blessing. Either others witness holiness in your acts, or God recognizes your choices by the fruit you bear.
Hypocrisy occurs when you approach a situation on your own terms. Instead of setting yourself aside, you are justifying your knowledge of good and evil by rendering judgement. Since holiness is selfless, we know that these types of acts carry no truth in them.
You witness the greed of someone. This means there is a greed in you. Yes. So you say to yourself, "I see they are greedy, I am not like them." This is a lie. You only see that greed because you are held in that same bondage.
---
John 8:44
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
---
So you witness the greed of someone. This means there is greed in you. Yes. What you should then do with this recognition is repent it, then produce fruit in keeping with repentance. So you pray, "Father, you are showing me another weakness I have, I recognize this. Please forgive me. Guide me by your Spirit so Your strength can overcome this weakness in me." Because of your love for the Father, you have given over in faith what you are bound by.
---
Matthew 3:8
8
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
---
Where does Jesus fit in? If it was not for the grace supplied by the blood of the Holy Lamb, and his ascension which supplied then the Holy Spirit as our guide, we would not be able to see the bondage we are bound by. And even if we did recognize the bondage, we would only see it in others based on our limited knowledge of good and evil. And that knowledge would not lead us to repent, it would only give weight to us being judgemental. The Holy Spirit acts much like the mind of Christ. The Spirit of Truth guides the faithful into selfless observance of holiness.

1 John 2:5,6
5
But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him:
6
Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
---
The Holy One entered the flesh, and overcame the bondage we face. He witnessed the sin that we are bound by, but did not act on it. Jesus is our example by how he lived. He witnessed the sin that his lineage was bound in, then he in every situation, he acted in holiness, in selfless obedience. And because of this, holiness remained in him even into death.
That same holiness is available to us. That same strength is available in every bondage we are under, whether it is from generational sin, or, is our own. If in faith, we set ourselves aside so that we can be guided by that holiness, we will supply holiness that honors the Father, and perhaps even others will witness.
Hypocrisy is self righteous. I would imagine that in heavenly realms, our hypocritical thought and acts bring chastisement upon us. When you witness a weakness in someone, repent it in yourself and pray for the strength to overcome it. If you do, of what you have more will be given. But if you are judgemental, what little you have will be stripped from you. So what wisdom you are shown, embrace with a fear of the Lord. Do not use what wisdom you have to justify youself above others.

Matthew 7:6
6
"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
---
All glory to the Father
