A naked soul

---

Matthew 4:4

4
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

---

The disciples were gathered by Christ, and had to give up everything the world defined them by. They became foreign to the world, naked souls.

Their relationships, possessions, and positions. Stripping themselves of any reliance or quality of worldliness which would honor the owner of this domain. This was not simply symbolic, it was to clear their conscience of self, so that the Truth could collect them, and work through them by Christ’s authority.

By doing so in obedience to the authority of Christ Jesus, they were showing the Father that they were His creation and meant to bear fruit that honored Him.

The souls gathered to honor the Father through His Truth, is the body of Christ. A house which is built on on faithfulness, and each believer is a part of. This house is God’s, as it is also of unseen qualities. This house is God’s because it honors his will. Those souls who have rooms in this house, are listed in the book of life.

John 14:3

3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

---

John 14:2

2
My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

---

John 6:63

63
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life.

---

For the faithful, fear and doubt are destructive. What is placed in front of believers would always work to test their faith and understanding. If they reacted in worldly ways, they would be robbed of the opportunity to gather by Truth. Because their reactions would replace their faith that holiness could act through their selfless service.

---

James 1:6

6

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

---

This happens even to this day. How often do we find ourselves praying for patience and find trials that test our faith? How often do we show thanks to the Father for something, only to have it stripped away? How often do we forgive lovingly only to be faced with challenges that have us desire to hate? There are false teachers that describe this as God’s will. But these only serve to honor the flesh, and glorify self as holy.

---

James 1:2-3

2

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, a whenever you face trials of many kinds,

3

Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

---

There is only one path, one way to the Father. It is through His Truth. None are righteous, not one. The Holy Spirit supplies holy fruit through the kingdom set upon us. Those who believe that holiness is of the Spirit of God, know that this means God is righteous alone. This wisdom is heavenly, and honors the Father by His Truth.

---

John 14:6

6

Jesus replied, “ I am the way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

---

The enemy creates his defense from the actions we choose. Only one has defeated death, and he left behind his Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, so that we may, by the kingdom upon us, have that holiness work through us. The last enemy to defeat is death. And the only way to defeat death is to understand life itself is eternal. Life is not of this flesh, it is Holy and Spiritual. Nothing in this existence matters. Our only purpose is to grow beyond it, and by faith, show the Father love by acknowledging His Truth.

Your soul will either defend the enemy or deny it. Your soul either: finds meaning by honoring death, or, will pursue an eternal purpose in life. Your soul is clothed in the perishable, or adorned in the eternal. Strive to believe that holiness comes through you, not from you. You are not righteous, you are instead forgiven and able to serve.
