Thirsting to serve

---

John 7:37-39

37
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.

38

Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."

39
By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

I was eager to write to you today. I had a thirst for it. Because this is a spiritual gift upon me. My ability to voice what is placed on my heart and upon my mind. It is like a fluidity when sought through my faith it is there. This is my expression of holiness, this is in ways, how I celebrate being part of something greater than myself.

The truth speaks through many gifts. And what is holy is shared in many tongues. The thirst to have holiness come through you in your imperfect state, is to drink of something that satisfies you to your core. There are days when I miss it, there are days when I want to never stop being a part of it.

The enemy tempts. I obviously sin, as I am not always acting on faith. It is moments that turn into hours that turn into days without acknowledging the truth. I will find myself hollow, and then there is a guilt, and then with that guilt creeps in a doubt that I deserve to be forgiven. That is what the enemy wants to see. To see me give up and return to enslavement. But, even in my weakest times; I have remembered salvation, remembered I am loved, remembered what the cost of grace was.

I encourage you to explore your gifts, and become thirsty for what is holy to act through you. Pray for your gifts to honor the Father through His Truth. Pray for your gifts of the Spirit to bring glory to His power. And get used to the release. The release of self to faithfulness. Acts of faith change everything around them. People are witness to them, and their souls are inspired. Pray to have your spiritual gift quicken to serve His will.
