Forgiveness in the storm

Forgiveness is complete and based in love. Loving your enemies, when your enemies kill your spirit, deny you equality, steal your hope, condemn you to their own sense of justice. Forgiveness in this storm of human reaction, is a holy quality. I say this; because forgiveness is eternal. We know God can, and does; desire to forgive us. All we need do is sincerely ask for it, and by this act of faith, it is received in full.

Ephesians 1:7

7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace

---

Jesus died for our sins. And by the grace afforded through his blood, we have the ability to seek the cleansing of our soul by His Holy Spirit. The difference between this cleansing and the water cleansing under the Law is, this cleansing is by the Authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. He mediates for us, as he was encased in this imperfection for our sake and the sake of the Jewish people.

Mark 11:26

26
"But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions."

---

No, not everyone believes Christ Jesus is sitting as God’s Authority. And it is for them, a compromise to set themselves aside to be forgiving. We who belong to the body of Christ, forgive others, as we have been forgiven.

---

Colossians 3:13

13

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

---

As believers, we are surrounded by non believers. Working with non believers, having them as political figures, employers, employees, neighbors, and even strangers. The storm their reactions create are what supplies the temptation to trespass against them. But is it not they who act of their will, they make choices based of what is placed in front of them by the wickedness in heavenly realms. Non believers choose to describe themselves through what the do not understand. They rely upon their emotions and logic, based on their knowledge of good and evil. In their darkness, their blindness; they also rely heavily in their animal instinct. As believers, who walk in the light, knowing what is placed in front of us supplies only sin, look to act on faith, so that light can act through us instead. How can we as believers do anything but forgive. It is merciful.

John 20:23

23
If you forgive anyone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

---

If you leave a man unforgiven, he will be judged eternally for it. And then, are you not responsible for his condemnation? But more specific than that, how can you seek to have what is holy work through you, if you yourself deny love for your own sake? No, we must not leave things unforgiven. As a matter of fact, forgiveness is often the door to loving one another.

This understanding makes forgiveness like a house with a foundation that cannot be swept up in a storm. While, not being forgiving, is like hypocrisy, like a house of beliefs that have no foundation in love, and therefore in a storm, is swept up and destroyed. It is the Father’s will that we be forgiving, and we know this because Jesus was forgiving, and spoke of us being forgiving. And we know Jesus did his Father’s will.

Matthew 7:24-27

24

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

26

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

27

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

---

When we learn to put aside ourselves to do the Father’s will, we find joy in being forgiving. Not unlike charity, forgiveness is an opportunity to raise up those in their consequence, and provide them with a taste of the sweetness of grace that is upon us as believers. Some take advantage of our forgiving quality, and that is also, very natural and human. We must be renewed in our walk, and above the circumstances placed in front of us. Very much like a house on top of a hill is seen by all, and also must be defended from all directions.

Be forgiving in the storm. Become a shelter that holiness acts through.
