When we take something in, it becomes a part of us. When something takes us in, it is still a part of us.
What matters is a man carries a soul that is connected to heavenly bodies in unseen ways. It is from man into the womb of woman, that a soul enters this existence. Man is a creation that houses world and spirit, while woman houses man and world and spirit. Man seeks of God, but a woman must seek of God by man.

1 Corinthians 10:31
31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

When the flesh requires something, the soul seeks it out to sustain the flesh. This act is not heavenly, nor does it honor God. It is sin, as it is not based in faith. When the soul is gathered up by something, what collected it claims it by worldly means, yet in doing so it also binds the soul it consumed. It is not what the flesh requires that is sin, it is that what the soul seeks is not done by faith.

Gospel of Thomas, saying 7
7
1
Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human.
2
And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."
---
So not only do we seek out sin, but sin seeks out us. We can consider sin seeking us out, as the world acknowledging our flesh in ways it that are natural. For example, a pecking order. Which we find the world gathering souls by their dominant and submissive attributes. If a soul relies on the body, and that body relies on the grouped body, it is lost unto itself. As what comfort it receives is fought for, and what position it has it covets. The soul is not recognized in one another as equals, if they are recognized at all. So the body within a grouped body is what it means to have sin seek out and consume a man.
---
Gospel of Thomas, saying 87
87
1
Jesus said, "How miserable is the body that depends on a body,
2
and how miserable is the soul that depends on these two."
---
There is no rest for a soul in this existence, the flesh may fall asleep, may be nourished, may be satisfied of ita requirements. But the soul has desires that it can only define by the flesh, yet it is of spirit. So this brings us the understanding of the human drive to satisfy itself. What fills the soul is spiritual, what pleases the soul is spiritual, what quenches the soul is spiritual, and therefore, what rest the soul finds is spiritual.
---
Gospel of Thomas, saying 86
86
1
Jesus said, "[Foxes have] their dens and birds have their nests,
2
but human beings have no place to lie down and rest."
---
Mankind subdues the world by its unsatisfied spiritual desire. We know this because even as development occured, we did not slow, we did not share, we continue to seek out that which is unseen in ways that the flesh can comprehend. This is a good explanation of the dark conscience of man. Since the original sin, we have been removed from the presence of God. And only since Christ ascended, has mankind the opportunity to seek to nourish its soul by having holiness act through it, giving purpose that the soul could not otherwise be a part of.

Gospel of Thomas, saying 85
85
1
Jesus said, "Adam came from great power and great wealth, but he was not worthy of you.
2
For had he been worthy, [he would] not [have tasted] death.
---
Without the kingdom, the knowledge of good and evil would not have provided the Law. And without the Law, there would not have been reason to repent. And without repent, there would have been no reason for denial of self. And without denial of self, there would have been no way to recognize the kingdom by faith. And without faith, the truth cannot be found, and so then the Father's will unknown.
But the kingdom, the eternal conscience, is present. And the Spirit of Truth is also among us. Since Adam walked in this presence of God, a soul did not find itself in the presence of the Father except Christ Jesus, who came from that presence and has since returned. Christ Jesus made a path for us to follow, and the Holy Spirit supplies the light which only a soul can walk by. See?
So seek first by the kingdom of God. And in His righteousness, all these things shall be added unto you.
Hallelujah.

To bring then, this understanding full circle. The soul is given this body to fulfill the will of God. And although this body carries on in sin, the defeat of death by Christ, created a path for a soul to use this body to serve the will of God. To serve the will of God by seeking what sustains the soul instead of driving its desires to maintain the flesh from death. The soul must believe, the unseen qualities of God have become available by seeking to have the Holy Spirit supply these holy qualities by the kingdom. This is what it means to be a part of the body of Christ. He in us, and us in him. He is the head of the spiritual body which gathers us to his authority. And by his Holy Authority, our soul, our heart, our mind, and our own bodies become servants to the Father’s will.
When we take something in, it becomes a part of us. When something takes us in, it is still a part of us.
Seek to have your soul be part of the body of Christ, and the body of Christ will collect you in your faithfulness.
Awakened in this path, notice now how the souls of those around you remain in the darkness of their body. See them seeking spiritual satisfaction by it. See them consumed by a dominion of what the world recognizes them by. The world empowers or suppresses the soul that enables the flesh because it recognizes it by its complement(body). They eat or are eaten.

Gospel of Thomas, saying 2
2
1
Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find.
2
When they find, they will be disturbed.
When they find, they will be disturbed.
3
When they are disturbed, they will marvel,
When they are disturbed, they will marvel,
4
and will rule over all."
and will rule over all."
---
Amen.
