Galatians 4:10

You are observing special days and months and seasons and years!

The idea of recognizing Christ Jesus with idols, or temples, or days of celebration, is a return to when heavenly forces were honored in such a way.

1 Peter 1:16

for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy.”
for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy.”

Holiness, is spiritual; of the unseen qualities of God. The Holy Spirit is being among us, is only because our mediator is Christ Jesus. Because he sent down the Holy Spirit to be among us, the temple, the holy of holies, and the ark, along with the priests and the law, none of it is of concern as all of it is fulfilled. We now live capable of approaching the Father directly through the eternal authority of His Son. And holiness works through us, that holiness being the Spirit of Truth, by the kingdom of heaven which is the eternal authority of Christ our Lord.
The present moment is where faithful acts take place. They do not take place because of traditions, ceremonies, rights, positions, or places. No house, temple, church, or cathedral honor the Father through His Truth. If they did, there would have been no reason for the kingdom. No, the present moment is where the rock can be found in which the temple resides. The rock is the will of God, and the temple is His Word, the eternal authority of His Truth.
To celebrate the birth or death of Christ is not an act of faith. It is an act of religion. Christ Jesus did not do His Father’s will so he could be honored. Christ Jesus did the Father’s will because the Word of God is the Holy Authority from which all creation came to be. Christ Jesus serves the will of God the Father and when we seek holiness to come through us in recognition of that authority, we are of the body of the Truth. The temple which the Father recognizes is the one he sent from His presence to be among us, whom now, is again in His presence. Faith is belief in this authority, and it is not a measure to be recognized by earthly means.
By the kingdom, all power and glory honor the Father. To celebrate the flesh that housed the Word of God, or even the sacrifice of that flesh or ascension of that flesh, is to deny the power of the Kingdom and its eternal Authority completely. We do not celebrate Christ Jesus, we give thanks to the Father for His Truth, in acts of faith that acknowledge His as what is righteous alone.
Peter built a church to compete with the temple. Paul built a church to replace pagan temples. Both cannot supply holiness, nor forgiveness. Both require gold instead of faith. Both place a minister of error between the believer and the Truth. Both claim a kingdom as through them, when it is upon all mankind. Both claim the Holy Spirit, when it is the Holy Spirit that acts through those who deny themselves. There is no house of God that is built in the visible world. The Spirit of Truth acts through the Kingdom. Both are of the unseen quality of God, and both recognize the Father as what is righteous alone.
What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit but based in love. What then are the characteristics of the Temple of God, but the loving acts of holiness. To do unto others as you would have done unto you, and done in celebration of the truth of our faith. To gather to celebrate what can instead be acted on, is sin. Sin, because faithfulness itself is an unseen holy quality that comes through those who put themselves aside.
What is a psalm song in faith, but the sweet moments of humble service. What is a charitable act, but denying self to serve another lovingly. What is the will of God, but believing in His Truth.
We must unlearn the human knowledge that requires less than faith. Faithful acts based in love is the service of the temple of God. Service is in the present moment, not a declared time, not a declared place.
So what then is the Sabbath? Why is it necessary to honor that day? The Sabbath is a day of rest from earthly works, in which faithful acts still remain. Christ Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath and was judged for it. Judged, because those who judged him could not decipher between what is holy and what is toil. The Sabbath is a day of rest from earthly works, leaving it for holy works. When you recognize the Sabbath, your ability to acknowledge what is holy by the kingdom honors the Father by His Authority. We keep the seventh day for rest from worldly thing in order to recognize the kingdom from which holy things come by.
We do not need easter or palm sunday, cathedrals, or temples. We do not need christmas or wooden crosses. We need to start to recognize the present moment and what is placed in front of us. We need to seek in faith that which only the Holy Spirit can provide us through the kingdom upon us. Only then can we honor the Father by His Truth, showing Him as what is righteous alone.
