Having contempt, which is anger, leaves you unforgiven for it. Yes, the sins of believers are forgiven by the blood of the Lamb of God. But your faith is dead without acts. If you choose to act out in anger, you are no longer believing that self control can work through you. So you are returning to your former master. Yes, acting in anger is a denial of the spirit of truth.

Matthew 22:21,22
21
“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
22
But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
---
It is not what you do in darkness that is sin; it is that anything you do outside of belief: is sin! How terrible for us, who live as we wish, and act on our own terms believing that our sin is forgiven. How few truly seek to reconcile themselves to the Father by acting on faith, in constant repent of their reactions to others.

Romans 14:23
23
But whoever has doubts are condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Some would suggest that Jesus got angry when he turned over tables and whipped the herd animals and chased out the vendors. But that was zeal, zeal is passionate act of love. Then Jesus cursed a fig tree for having no fruit, and it died right then. But the fig tree was out of season, and would have no fruit anyways. So why did he curse it? Because in faith he went to the tree, and it being under dominion, did not recognize his truth. But when he spoke of it, his authority was clear. And by faith it withered in obedience. Jesus carried the Holy Spirit. And Jesus is the Word of God, the authority which all creation came through. Everything he did glorified the Father.

Matthew 21:20-22
20
When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked.
21
Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.
22
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

If we believe we can be loving in every circumstance, we will be supplied with the love we would share in abundance. But if we doubt the power we know can work through us, all we have is sin. So how important is every act we make! We can supply what is greater than ourselves, or we can react in darkness, putting the cost of our sin on others, and leaving ourselves open to judgement.

Romans 1:28
28
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
29
They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
30
slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
31
they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.
32
Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
---
If people who understood this denied him, and were given over to the darkness they enjoy, how fearful should we be as those who are only saved because He loved us enough to sacrifice His son! They had no faith, just law to disobey. We have an understanding of faith and we fall into doubt!
Yes, we are loved. Yes, Jesus died for our sins so we may be reconciled to the Father through his mediation. But, faith without acts is dead. And if we do not have faith enough to obey the commandment to be loving, we cannot expect to be saved from judgement. Terrifying.
You will get angry. Your flesh reacts. But it is up to each of us to give ourselves over in faith, and deny these reaction in ourselves, so that holiness can be set upon us to act on. Consider it holy joy to love those who tempt you to act in anger. And you will be tempted.
Love the Father by believing in His son with all your heart, all your mind, and soul. Love one another to save your soul from judgement.
'everything that does not come from faith is sin.'
