Inside your body, is a spirit. It was placed in your body before you were born. Your soul is a tiny piece of God. Your soul does not need food to eat or water to drink. Your soul does not get cold or hot. It does not have feelings, your body does. The body is what has these reactions to the world around you. Your soul is of spirit.
God created our body, just like God created all things. When he created the first man and woman, he breathed a part of Himself into the body. This was the soul. And everytime a man and woman make a baby, that baby has this little piece of God in it.
God wants to know you. And he wants you to know him. But since you are in your body right now, your soul cant see him. But when our body dies, our soul can return to his presence. Until we die, we can do some things that let the soul talk to God. We can pray and we can love.
When we are loving, it is special. Love is also spiritual. It is not of the body. Love can do things that shows God our soul can do good. Everyone likes to be loved. So we try to treat others with the love that we would have ourselves shown. God can tell we are being loving, because that love is a part of him. So when we are loving, our souls are actually showing a part of God to others.
Praying is special too. Praying can be done in many ways. Praying is strongest when it is done without our mouths. Instead we have a voice in our heads that we use instead. That voice is spiritual, and is heard by all of heaven and God himself.
People used to consider the body as important as the soul. This troubled God. Because people were praying for their body to be saved, when the soul is what was a part of God. So God sent down a special one. This one he called his Holy One. The Holy One was born into a body. His mom and dad called him Jesus. Jesus grew up to be special for all souls, because he showed us how to please God.
When the body of Jesus died, his soul had done so much love, that his body came back to life! He had shown God that the spiritual was more important than the body. God took Jesus up into heaven where he came from. When Jesus got back up to heaven, he asked God to send mankind a friend to help them see what was spiritual. So God sent down to us the Holy Soul of Jesus. We call it the Holy Spirit.
When our souls don't know what to pray, or how we can love someone, we can be confident that the Holy Spirit will place words on our soul, that helps us to love or to pray. This is easy to do, when we are listening for it. We just have to seek it with our soul and immediately, the Holy Spirit offers us this help. Everything our soul asks for that is spiritual is given to us.
Not everyone knows they are a soul in a body. So they just listen to what their body wants. They only do what their body wants because they do not understand. But now you have been told, and you can begin to know God, and please him with prayer and being loving. And as a soul, if you wish to know God and live in heaven, there is a way that Jesus made for us.
It all starts with a prayer:
Almighty Creator,
By my soul I believe what Jesus told us.
By my soul I want the Holy Spirit to teach me how to live as Jesus did.
Thank you God for giving me my soul to know you, and thank you for sending Jesus to save me.

Practice being loving. How does a soul love? By ignoring what the body wants, and treating other souls in ways that are spiritual. Love is like a tree. It has many branches. All of these branches a spiritual too. Being kind, being gentle, doing good, being patient, being peaceful, bringing joy, having self control, and always having confidence in the Holy Spirit. All these branches are the ways love is shared. Practice them every chance your soul gets. The more you practice, the stronger your soul becomes.
Pray all day. Pray in the morning when you get up, giving thanks for your soul, even if your body is thirsty or hungry, or sad. Your soul doesn't have to listen to the body anymore now that you know the truth. This way, when the body dies, your soul can live forever.
