Healing

First thing you must understand is, God is of an unseen quality. So for healing from God to occur, it will occur from unseen means.

Your soul is of the same cloth, unseen and of spirit. Your soul, like all creation, is under the same authority. That authority is eternal, and has the power to manifest in unseen ways into the physical. Your soul, and what surrounds your body, are where the power of God resides.

Healing the body comes from this power. This power, by this authority, does the will of the Creator. For us, to express a requirement of healing, through that authority, by the power of the Holy Spirit, is an act of faith. And that expression of faith can only be made is we already believe that authority exists through the mediation we have by Christ Jesus. This is what makes this a work of God.

Every miracle and wonder that Jesus did glorified the Father. And so, any healing we seek, we must put the Father first in the request. So it is not the need for healing that we act on, no. Instead, we seek to use the requirement of healing as an opportunity to glorify the Father through our belief in His son's mediation and authority. If this is done, yes, the power of the Holy Spirit will supply our need to glorify Him.

Only those who have received the Holy Spirit, are capable of these acts. No, not everyone who believes in Jesus has received the Holy Spirit. But, in this case, what we should be seeking, is for Jesus to act on our behalf; petitioning the Father to have the power of His Holy Spirit act on our behalf to glorify Him in His righteousness.

Life is spiritual. It is not by food or water that life is sustained. Life is an unseen quality of God. Life can be increased, a term for this is quickening. Life is spiritual strength. Jesus said that in our weakness, his strength is made perfect. Jesus also said he is the life, meaning all life came through him as the authority of God. Life can be given to a stone, and a child of Abraham be raised from it. Life, is the contents which provides healing.

Healing the physical by the spiritual is unnatural. Healing in nature is based on the physical sustaining itself. We know that is true, but we carry the understanding that the spiritual is sustained by something greater than ourselves. So although natural healing can be prayed to have Christ petition for us, spiritual healing that glorifies the Father through His authority, is greater.

Why can you not raise the dead? Why can you not heal the sick and lame? Perhaps it is because you have not sought to glorify God, but instead reacted to the requirement by your desire to act. You do not raise the dead, instead you seek to act on an opportunity to glorify the Father through your belief in His authority. You do not heal the sick and the lame, instead you seek to act on an opportunity to glorify the Father through your belief in His authority.

Healing by the laying on of hands. Peter and John had to return to a group of believers, because they had yet to receive the Holy Spirit. Peter and John laid hands on them, and they then received the Holy Spirit. For someone who has not received the Holy Spirit to lay hands on someone is in error. If you have received the Holy Spirit you know, and are known. Otherwise, and for most, what is then correct is to seek Jesus to petition for the healing as an act to glorify the Father. Then, if it is God's will; the Holy Spirit intercedes.

You are human, with flesh and spirit both. Your emotions and reactions will desire to act. But that is your desire. As a soul, you must celebrate the spirit, and seek to glorify the spiritual unseen qualities of God, to do His will.
