Taking life to defend life?

This is one of the most difficult and sensitive understandings. It has been the hardest for me to share, although I share it in utter confidence in the mind of Christ.

A nation, its economy, its resources, its system of government, its society, and the pride of its people. A nation, every nation, is under the master of the world. It is glorified, it is celebrated, and life takes on the role of slavery to it.

---

Luke 4:5-8
5
The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
6
And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7If you worship me, it will all be yours.”

8
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’

---

"I can give it to anyone I want to" said the devil.
The enemy has dominion. No matter what leaders say they believe, or what they consider to be moral and just, the enemy that masters them does not worship God nor serve Him in a way that bears good fruit.

---

Isaiah 5:20
20
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

---

The children of the world, which we all were, live in darkness. They are led by their incomplete knowledge of good and evil. And their reactions to what is placed in front of them manifest acts that justify their reactions. This darkness is always met with the exact same reaction and action their judgement provides.

---

Matthew 7:2
2
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

---

The enemy relies upon this. Blindness of the truth, creates a reliance on the movement in the darkness, this is called grouped will. Another term for it is 'the greater good'. It is purely the mastery of wickedness. And it honors and glorifies the oppression of life.

We were born into that very darkness, and we all grew reliant on ourselves and our instincts that develop with in it. We all grew justifying ourselves and a measure of survival. Amd as a group we recognized the worldly wisdom of the survival of the fittest. And to this day we are witness to this.

Christ Jesus started a war. This is a spiritual war. It is a battle to free life from the oppression of the darkness we are all born under. The weapon is the sword of truth. It divides us all, by what we refuse to deny in ourselves. This is why we know who has the mind of Christ, the Holy Spirit in them. They act on faith, relying solely upon the kingdom and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They carry a light in the darkness that they would rather die than let it extinguish.

---

John 8:12
12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

---

To the heart of the issue. Life, which is not of the flesh but is spirit, is the potential to worship and serve God. But, as this great asset is born into darkness, it grows to worship what it can gain, and serves its own desires. The life in us, under the mastery of the world, shows God that death is its own authority, its own version of truth. And it uses life, to defend life, by sacrificing life to justify itself. Jesus, used his life, to defend life, by sacrificing his life, to honor the will of God.

---

Romans 6:5
5
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.

---

For a man to be a soldier in an army, is to be obedient to the leaders of his nation. This, for a child of the world, is honorable. And for Christians to respect that authority in the world is what is expected.

---

Romans 13:1
1Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

---

The master of the world is a governing authority God established. Yes, that means that the ruling authority that is of the one who was cast out, was established by God. That authority is the father of lies and deception. He keeps mankind in darkness, and must fulfill his purpose. All are governed by death.

---

Romans 13:2
2
Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

---

If we were to judge what the worldly do, we would no longer be acting on the truth, and would again be acting in a worldly manner, thus; open to judgement. So we submit to the authority that God has placed here. We do this not to agree to it, but in order to honor what God has done.

---

Romans 13:5
5
Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

---

To remain open to the kingdom, the eternal conscience, which is the heart of God, we must remain obedient to what he has done. This does in no way mean we should enable it, or empower it with our own acts. It simply means we do not rebel against it, nor condemn it. To be free of judgement, is to be open to the truth.

For a man to give up his worldly ways to embrace the truth, leaves him unable to serve the world in ways it recognizes. If a man tries to serve the truth, yet remain worldly, he is trying to please two masters.

---

Matthew 6:24
24
"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

---

A soldier or a law enforcement officer that can under authority, take a life to preserve justice, or defend life, is being paid to do so. A servant of Christ that places God above all things, sacrifices everything to preserve his obedience to that commandment. All his possessions, his relationships, his worldly authority, his desires, pride, ego, and even his life; all are beneath his love for God. This is what it means to suffer.

---

1 Peter 2:20
20
But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.

---

The mind of Christ, the Holy Spirit, directs us on what is good, what is holy. The heart of God is what through us supplies holy fruit, such as goodness. It is mankind that chooses to describe what is good, by their own terms. What is good came into being through the truth, as the truth is the eternal authority, the Word, which all of creation came through.

As a soldier, you are told what is good, and you with obedience, act on what you orders. Your belief is in this authority.

If you have been told the truth of Jesus Christ, you can no longer carry the Holy Spirit in you, and glorify any other authority. To do so, is to, on your own terms, justify your acts, by the grace you are under.

Grace, was meant to atone for the sins of all mankind, yes. But not so they could continue to sin, but instead, by that grace, have the light of the mind of Christ in them so they can glorify the Father in their acts, and honor the gift of his only begotten son with their commitment to serve.

So a great wall of deception has been raised up to blind believers. They are led to believe that the truth is in the actions of the authorities they are under. They believe they are doing what is good, and consider the peace they bring about proves them righteous. But the peace they create is false, because they do what they desire in their judgement, and are self righteous.

So how great is the blindness that consumes the world. And how few remain that deny themselves completely. Religions, economies, and governments. All are mastered by darkness. They all supply a greatness that is an authority God put in place. And it is ever increasing, and the gospel of the Holy Spirit, and the good news of the kingdom, are far from most.

---

John 6:28,29
28Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

29Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

---

And to believe requires not only that faith but acts. So two commandments were given:

---

Matthew 22:37
37
Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38
This is the first and greatest commandment.
39
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

---

So we embrace the truth as believers, and we show it in acts of love. First to the Father is unseen ways, then to those placed in front of us, by denying ourselves our desires. Yes, for children who have died of the world to serve in this manor, means suffering. We are still here, and the world does not recognize the mind of Christ within us. It hated him when he was here, and it will hate us too.

We are called to love. Love our enemies, turn the other cheek, treat others as we would have ourselves be treated. These are foreign acts to the world. These are holy acts, spiritual truth at work, that those around us will be witness to. They will not understand us, we take advantage of us, persecute and mock us, harm us, ignore and isolate us, or kill us. They cannot understand because they are still in darkness. But to our death, we are called to love them.

A kingdom divided cannot stand. If you take life to defend life, you have divided the spiritual kingdom, and what light is in you will not remain. And for that matter, you will justify your acts, and become even more convinced in the authority of darkness. It will be your great light.

---

Matthew 6:22,23
22
“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23
But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

---

The eyes are what deciphers what is placed in front of us. The metaphor is for our perception. If what we perceive is healthy, we are perceiving what is spiritually pure. And others will be witness to new understanding. But if our perceptions are unhealthy, we are perceiving what is spiritually impure. And others will be witness to it, and will in their blindness, be enabled by it, and empower all the more!

The glory and honor the God deserves will not come from darkness. It will come from the light which is Christ. No amount of lies can supply what this truth is. No amount of dominion will ever grant spiritual freedom. You cannot take life to defend life.

Fear God. Repent. The road is narrow.
