How to be a Peacemaker

---

Luke 12:58
58
As you are going with your adversary to the magistrate, try hard to be reconciled on the way, or your adversary may drag you off to the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.

---

Yes, by the blood of the Lamb of God, the final sacrifice for our sin was made complete. This, so by that grace we could reconcile ourselves to the Father.

But a very serious topic is the trespass against others. There is great misconception, and this letter is to bring understanding about what trespass is, what it becomes, and how it will affect our eternal life.

Tonight, the enemy was allowed to send me a dream. The dream was one that was meant to intimidate me, and judge me, and show me what I am guilty of. It was condemning and troubling. I woke up, and was disturbed by it. I wrote it all down before I forgot it.

I had trespassed against two people in my life that this dream judged me for. I knew that I had never reconciled with them. Instead I just moved on. But tonight it was shown to me that although my sin has been paid for by Christ, this does NOT mean my trespasses were all forgotten by the 'magistrate', who is Jesus.

Matthew 6:12
12
And forgive us our trespasses, as we also have forgiven those who have trespassed against us.

---

I KNOW that most Christian's believe this sinner's prayer is enough. And I agree that in some cases it is enough. ***But, for the Father to forgive our trespass against another soul, is NOT making peace with that one we trespassed against.*** We created a cost, and we have a debt with that soul that will have to be paid before we are whole in Christ.

The 'light' is what the truth shines on our design. When we seek out this light in us, we see what we were, and this is what we repent. You cannot repent something sincerely, unless you recognized you were guilty of it. Now, we are shown what to repent, and we repent so to be forgiven. But if what we repent is a trespass against another soul, is the Father now responsible for mending that soul? No, we are.

Tonight, I wrote a message to a man who I had not seen for 27 years. I found his facebook page and messaged him. I told him that I had spoken ill of him behind his back. I told him I did this because I was intimidated by him. I told him I now see this was wrong. And I asked him to forgive me.

I sent the message. It was at that point that the Holy Spirit led me to that passage in Luke. I realized then, that which I am sharing with you now. We should get right with those we have created a spiritually debt with. We should do this as soon as we are made aware of it. Because at judgement, any soul who we trespass against can and will hold us accountable, and cry for justice.

It goes deeper.
Reconciliation with others souls is a form of love. We are commanded by Christ to love our neighbor, love our enemy, treat others as we would have ourselves be treated. So is reconciliation not a form of selflessness and love? Yes.

John 14:15
15
"If you love me, keep my commands."

After the man's reply, and the guidance to the passage in Luke, I went further. I wrote my ex girlfriend. I did the same with her, after 6 years of not talking. By the time I finished my plea to her for forgiveness, I felt like a great burden was released. A burden I didn't even realize I was carrying.

Within an hour, both these people I trespassed against got back to me. Both have forgiven me. Both have good thoughts for me. I honestly didn't expect to hear back from them. I only wanted them to know I had regret and requested they forgive me.

Now there is no cost. And now there has been a renewed form of love between them and me.

How terrible it is to have a lifetime of people you have a spiritual debt with. How great an opportunity is it to reconcile and show love.

I close with this. It better to show Jesus that you can reconcile with others while you are living, than it is to be raised at judgement, and stand in front of Jesus, to defend yourself against those who cry for justice.

Matthew 5:9
9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Amen
